The Perfect Dose
Am I a Good Candidate for Vivace?
The best candidates for a Vivace treatment are healthy individuals who want to correct loose facial skin, uneven complexion, and wrinkles without surgery. Since the treatment is minimally invasive, it is recommended for people who have no medical conditions that complicate wound healing.
People with medical devices like pacemakers and other metallic implants are not ideal candidates for Vivace RF microneedling. The RF energy used in the treatment may disrupt the normal function of these devices. If you have one of these devices and want to counter skin aging, explore our treatment options during a consultation at The Perfect Dose.
How to Prepare for a Vivace Treatment
To prepare your skin for a Vivace RF microneedling treatment, you will need to avoid topical antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs for a time as directed. These medications can risk slower wound healing.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure, and do not apply retinoids, exfoliants, or acids to the areas selected for treatment to prevent skin irritation.
Schedule any waxing sessions or other hair-removal treatments a minimum of five to seven days before your Vivace RF microneedling appointment. Shaving is recommended a day before your session.
What Is a Vivace Treatment Session Like?
At the start of a Vivace treatment session, a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment regions. This topical anesthetic will take full effect in around 30 minutes, providing a pain-free experience throughout the session.
Next, the treatment is performed. This typically takes around 20 minutes. The Vivace handpiece is passed across the skin evenly for microneedling and application of RF energy. Pressure may be felt in bony regions like the cheekbones, chin, and forehead.
Once this process has been completed for all the treatment areas, the skin is calmed with the help of a serum and face mask.
The number of Vivace sessions necessary for optimal results is different from case to case. Usually, around three treatments are needed.
After Your Session
Once your Vivace treatment session is complete, you will be able to return to your everyday schedule without any need for recovery time. Slight redness or itchiness may be present for a time but will ameliorate in time.
How Long Do the Vivace Treatment Results Last?
The results of a Vivace RF microneedling appear gradually and can last for one to two years depending on how the patient takes care of their skin. During your consultation, our skincare expert will provide dos and don’ts for you to experience the full benefits of this treatment.
