Sculptra series
Are you over the age of 40 and looking for skin tightening and collagen stimulation? Then this is the treatment for you! Did you know that at the age of 20, we stop producing collagen, and at the age of 30, we lose 1% of collagen each year? Collagen is the protein in our skin that gives it elasticity and a firm texture, making it largely responsible for keeping our skin youthful and refreshed. Biostimulators or collagen-stimulating injectables result in up to 60% collagen stimulation. Results last 2+ years with annual maintenance of 1 vial per year. Results from this procedure are very natural with minimal downtime and maintenance.

What Are Biostimulators?
Biostimulators are a type of cosmetic injectable that works naturally in the body to encourage new collagen production. These injectables can be used to treat or prevent signs of aging, or enhance the contours and tighten the skin on the body. We offer two types of innovative, FDA-approved biostimulators at Perfect Dose:
Sculptra
Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production. Sculptra works gradually, stimulating your body’s natural collagen production to restore facial volume and smooth out deep facial folds and wrinkles. It creates a subtle, natural-looking enhancement that can last up to two years.
Radiesse
Radiesse uses Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres that provide immediate volume and stimulate collagen production as the microspheres break down and are absorbed into the body. This provides immediate and long-term improvement, with results that can last a year or more, offering both instant lift and continued enhancement.
What to Expect:
Results develop gradually over a few months as collagen production increases. Typically, a series of treatments is recommended for optimal results, with effects lasting up to two years. Effects can last up to 18 months, making it a great option for long-lasting volume restoration.
Why Choose Biostimulators?
- Natural Results: Subtle, authentic enhancements.
- Long-Lasting: Results last up to two years with both Sculptra and Radiesse.
- Collagen Boost: Healthier, more resilient skin over time.
Am I a Good Candidate for Biostimulators?
Biostimulators are suitable for individuals looking to enhance their facial volume and improve skin quality. Ideal candidates are generally healthy adults without active skin infections or allergies to any components in the treatments. A consultation with our specialists will help determine the best option for you.
The Benefits of Biostimulators
Unlike traditional fillers, biostimulators work gradually by encouraging the body to produce collagen, resulting in smoother, firmer skin over time. With results lasting up to two years, it is an excellent option for both preventing and correcting signs of aging. It’s minimally invasive, requires minimal downtime, and has the ability to deliver subtle yet significant improvements.
Your Biostimulator Consultation
A biostimulator treatment consultation will include in-depth discussions about your appearance goals, any existing medical conditions, allergies, and recent treatments. The skincare professional must also be informed regarding current prescriptions to ensure that the chosen biostimulator is safe for your health.
A facial evaluation will be performed in order to determine the ideal injection sites for your treatment. Photographs will be taken to help the skincare professional assess which areas need biostimulator treatment.
The expected results of the initial treatment will be discussed to help establish realistic expectations. The skincare professional will go over the longevity of results and which lifestyle habits can shorten the benefits of biostimulator injections.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR A BIOSTIMULATOR TREATMENT
A week before your biostimulator treatment, avoid NSAIDs and herbal supplements. Refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours before and after your injectable session. This will help prevent excessive bruising while the filler sets in the treated area.
Avoid skin products that may irritate the skin at least 2 to 3 days before and after a biostimulator treatment. Examples of these are products containing tretinoin, retinol, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or hydroquinone.
People with a history of cold sores will have special instructions to prepare their skin before a biostimulator session. On the day of your treatment, do not apply any makeup or products to the treatment areas.
YOUR BIOSTIMULATOR SESSION
A biostimulator session begins with applying topical anesthesia to the selected area for treatment. If the patient’s pain tolerance is low, it may be necessary to use local anesthesia.
Once the anesthesia takes effect, the chosen biostimulator will be injected into the selected area for treatment. Expect a mild pushing and pulling sensation as the dermal filler settles in. The whole treatment should last around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
BIOSTIMULATOR AFTERCARE
Drink plenty of water after your biostimulator session. You should be well hydrated for 2-3 days after your treatment to get the best results to revitalize collagen production.
Swelling and bruising are normal. You will need to massage the areas treated for 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days, in order to optimize new collagen production.
